Mr. Squirmy-Wormy is now 5 months old…and getting wigglier and wigglier. While his good core strength makes him more portable, his curiosity and grip strength make him more difficult to handle – he’s constantly shifting around in our arms to see what’s making noise, and grabs at everything and pulls…Lindy’s hair out! He’s not quite crawling but now that he’s able to move around so easily in his crib, he’s become increasingly difficult to put down for naps which he flat out refuses most days. We’re only a few days into the fifth month, but so far it is the most difficult. Dealing with our own lack of sleep is one thing – but an overtired cranky baby on top of our own lack of sleep is entirely another story!! Lindy is looking forward to her first night away next weekend…
He’s definitely following in his daddy’s footsteps with a strong curiosity in technology. He loves Lindy’s phone (always out taking pictures of him), and especially likes to watch the colourful lines of the living room computer screen saver and will sit mesmerized by it for quite a while.
A few new activities to add to the list including surviving his first cottage party August long weekend, baby wading pool trips, swinging on the swing set, playing at the toy library, baby salsa dancing, and most exciting of all : EATING! While pretty much everything goes in his mouth already, Isaac has been officially introduced to sucking on raw carrots and cucumbers, and eating oatmeal, brown rice cereal, applesauce and sweet potato.
