Isaac’s not a baby anymore! Isaac turned 1 on March 7th 2017. He spent his birthday at daycare, as it was Lindy’s second day back to work. Opa and Oma came to visit the weekend before, to celebrate the Otterspoor March birthdays with Opa turning 65, Uncle Greg turning 38 and Isaac turning 1 – all born in the first week of March. We celebrated the Clark March birthdays the following weekend, as Papa turns 75 this month too!
Isaac’s last month at home with Lindy was busy with playgroups and gym time – trying to squeeze as much fun in together as possible. He attended his first valentine’s day party at a neighbour’s house where he received several valentines. We spent a sunny afternoon at the neighbourhood Winter Fun Day, around a campfire, tobaganning, and playing on the swings. Family Day weekend was spent mostly outdoors, with a trip to the park with friends Mat and Kim and Iden.
Isaac is adjusting fairly well to daycare, though there are still some tears during drop off. The daycare staff are great and they play outside and do many activities. They send photo updates to show him playing happily with his daycare friends. He doesn’t nap as well there, but luckily it hasn’t affected his naps at home yet…
Hopefully we can all adapt to the new life schedule as well as Isaac has!
