The crazy weather hasn’t been holding Isaac back – rain or shine (or May snow??) he’s outside!
Fun Isaac Facts:
New words – “side” for outside (we hear this one a lot!!), “nana” for banana, “sock” with a silent “ck”, “sthat” for what’s that, “daa-yy” for doggy, “duh” for duck
New signs – please, more, all done (finally he is starting to communicate!!)
New tasks – Isaac will wipe up his spills when asked, he’s started trying to get undressed for bath (and tries to climb into the tub), gets his shoes and hat to go outside and tries to put them on, wipes his own nose (still unsuccessfully but tries), sits on the potty (fully clothed still) and throws his toilet paper in the toilet, flushes the toilet, picks up food he has dropped when asked, puts toys away, points to body parts when asked, points to the duck on the page of animals, brushes his own teeth and hair
At 14 months old, Isaac seems to be learning exponentially, and is growing a bunch too. He weighs approximately 20lbs now, and has really chunked up – filling out/growing out of his clothes. It may also have something to do with his clingy phase…he’s been walking for 4 months but he’s sooooo over walking now…wants to be carried all the time. But he also gives great hugs, and is napping like a champion at home. Eating is still a bit of a challenge – especially now that he has ever changing favourite foods and knows where they are kept. He’ll root through our backpacks for the snacks he likes. Isaac loves sitting on our laps to put on his shoes, or read books. His favourite books are the ones with songs. His personality is developing more every day.
With the first trip to the cottage accomplished – the count down to summer begins! Bring on the water!
