The Laser Master Worlds came to Kingston this summer. Jon, having just reached the minimum age to be eligible at masters events, decided to enter himself into the race. There were a number of Laser Master sailors in the Ottawa area who had all signed themselves up for the Master Worlds and that created a great group of guys to get out training with on a weekly basis. Jon, having not sailed a Laser since he was 20 certainly appreciated the opportunities to get as much time in the boat as possible before heading to Kingston. The event was a great time and Jon hopes to get to another Master Worlds sometime in the near future. It will be long shot, but word is the 2017 Master Worlds will be in Australia and that could cross a couple items off the list at once.
