Summer Holidays 2018

It’s been a HOT summer so far! Luckily we spent the hottest time at the cottage where we could jump in the lake whenever we wanted. Isaac absolutely loves the water, and quickly learned to swim with his floatties on after spending most of his time in the water. He spent most of his time jumping off the raft over and over. Luckily we had lots of visitors who helped keep Isaac busy! Friends and cousins came to visit, and we had fun with Grandma and Papa, and Charlotte and Izzy who came to stay with us for a few days.

With holidays over, we’ve been busy biking. Isaac is really getting quick on his coaster bike, and can bike all the way to daycare and back now. He helped Jon put our deck back together, and still spends some time sweeping the driveway every morning. His newest fun toy is the leaf blower!

We went to Opa and Oma’s for a weekend, where Isaac jumped off the dock, napped on a boat ride, and then went tubing with Jon. Travelling in the car is still a struggle, so we broke up the trip home with a stop at the Bonnechere Caves and did some splunking!

Isaac is all about playing with friends, and enjoyed at day at Dan and Susan’s cottage for Max’s third birthday, where he did more jumping off the dock.

We’ve visited the Valleyview Farm, went downtown on the bus to see the Busker Festival, and met friends for a picnic at Mooney’s Bay park.

Hard to believe summer is half over already!
