December is here and the count down is on…Lindy is officially off work to get some much needed rest – it seems almost unimaginable, but these babies still have to double in size!! They are growing well though, as indicated by the numerous appointments and ultrasounds. Two months to go!
With the early snow, it has already felt like winter for a while. We didn’t get all the raking and gardening done before the snow came, but luckily Isaac likes shoveling too! He’s been excited to play outside in the snow, but mostly likes to eat it…At least he’s eating real food better now too. Gymnastics has finished for the fall season, and we’ve decided to sign him up for skating lessons this winter with his best friend from daycare.
The French lessons at daycare have continued, and Isaac can now count and say his colours in French too. Sometimes we think he’s speaking gibberish, and then realize it must be something he’s heard in French that we just can’t quite understand.
We’ve had some nice visits from our sailing friend Glenna who used to watch Isaac regularly when he was a baby. It didn’t take long for Isaac to warm up and play with her again like they used to over a year ago. She’ll be gone for the winter but we will all look forward to her return from Florida!
We’ve half switched over to Christmas from Halloween. We went to see the Santa Clause parade with Uncle Greg and Charlene, and have started decorating the house and some cookies – but we still have to hide from the growl bear/ghosts on a daily basis. Isaac loves his new Christmas book from Grandma, but has also rediscovered the Thomas the Train book he was given as a baby, especially the story about the scary monster under the train shed.
December will be busy as usual, and then surely things will be a slower pace in January – at least for Lindy!
