Lindy was itching to get out skiing over the holidays but it was getting a bit risky to be hitting the downhill slopes. Instead we grabbed our Nordic skis and headed over to Jack Pine Trail. The conditions were fair and the temperature was hovering around zero. We skied a short loop as someone was slowing Lindy down. Interestingly enough the flat spots on the trail were what gave Lindy the most trouble. A bit of assistance was required a couple times to get back on one’s feet after a slow sideways fall into the fluffy white snow. We were glad we got out.
