A month of Halloween!

So much Halloween! Isaac has taken on Lindy’s love for Halloween, and really got into the spirit this year. He helped Jon carve 3 pumpkins, went to 3 Halloween parties at Saunders Farm and at the experimental farm and a recreation centre, helped decorate the house, chose his costume and went trick or treating for the first time! We spent the days in between playing “hide from the growl bear/ghost/goose” and reading Halloween stories like “Click Clack Boo” for the hundredth time…

Isaac is back in gymnastics – and loves to climb everything – although he doesn’t like doing the drills in the specified order and tends to spend the class running away from us…but fun none the less. Jon has been building a jungle gym in the basement to keep him climbing the things we want him to climb and not everything else. Hopefully that will help to get some energy out this winter while we might be cooped up inside for awhile…We have also visited a few indoor playgrounds, and have discovered that he needs very little assistance to get around the mazes of bridges, slides and tubes.

We took a trip to Montreal to buy our new family mini-van! (Jon traded in his truck for it – and even seems happy with the upgrade in features and comfort!) He has found that the van serves pretty well as a construction vehicle and has continued to pack up his tools and help our friend with his new permanent holiday lighting business. Isaac likes the DVD player, and it makes the idea of travelling seem slightly more possible now. The van might soon be the only vehicle Lindy can get in and out of comfortably as the twins continue to expand her already huge tummy!

Isaac has really taken to the French lessons that he gets at daycare, and came home one day singing the entire ABC song in both French and English. He’s still always ‘a very good helper’ and can do a few more things for himself now. He’s very social, and loves having playdates with cousins, friends and neighbours, and seeing his grandparents.
