End of Summer…oh yeah and TWINS

The end of summer is here…although you wouldn’t know it by the weather!

This month we had some more fun at the cottage, and Isaac went to his first Labour Day Perth Fair! He got a kick out of watching the dog show, seeing the animals and going on rides, but apparently his favourite thing was riding the pony! Well, that and looking at all the trucks with daddy.

Isaac is 2 1/2 years old now, 34 inches tall and weighs 24lbs (still growing taller but not gaining weight!) He is getting better at dressing himself, and almost everything now is “I do it myself!” and “I want to try again!”

Isaac’s independence will definitely come in handy when he becomes a big brother this winter. Double trouble is on the way, so far named Baby A and Baby B (or Thing 1 and Thing 2 according to Jon). After a few panicked days, we are adjusting to the idea of having twins… and having 3 kids under 3 years old for awhile. Practicality has kicked in, so we are trying to get organized before Lindy is huge and useless! Lindy’s been researching and talking to other twin parents for advice on how to manage, and Jon has been super busy getting tasks done, doing extra side jobs, and getting in his last sailing regattas for awhile.

Things are about to get CRAZY!!
